Sure just get a piece of p.v.c., metal tubing (exhaust pipe) that is the right diameter and clamp it to the oem intake house. Then clamp a filter to the other end. For the breathers you can just drill a few holes in the intake tube and add what you need.

what me and my friend did was take out the stock airbox and cut a bigger hole in it since the filter rests on the lip cutting it wont affect on the filter rests in the box. it looks stock and sounds great and its cheap.

to make a true cold air intake you just have to remember to seal off the filter from the rest of the engine! if you do not do this it is just the same as your stock intake if not worse......

I'm either going to do this, or cut the box port (for lack of a better word) larger so I can run a metal tube from the stock intake tube down into the box and clamp a cone filter on the end. Your stock box can shield from heat as well as mud if you're into that sort of thing. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures that I've seen others do that look really nice, but at the moment I'm leaning towards what JJay said with a K&N drop in, but I'm only going to cut towards the front so water can't splash in there.

I just looked at his pics yesterday. He made a very easy one that looks like it should work perfect. Don't have any details but you could try asking him.

I got rid of the stock intake box, used a piece of 3" exhaust pipe painted it black so it wouldn't look like ex. pipe, and used an Airaid filter clamped to the end of the exhaust pipe, and the exhaust pipe fits in the stock rubber boot perfectly, I'm planning on building a box to surround the filter, use a sawzall or holesaw and cut a 3-4" wide hole in the bottom of where the stock box was and run dryer vent tubing down from the hole to a collecter which I'll fasten in place just under the front bumper to seal off the filter from the engine bay heat and "force" fresh "cold" air into the box via the dryer vent and collector. When I get around to finishing it up, I'll post some pics, hopefully it doesn't look to "redneck or ghetto",lol. Screw paying what K&N or Airaid want for their "high performance intake systems", you can make your own for a fraction of the price.
