Cold air vs snorkel?
I planned on doing a Homebrew snorkel. But i see a ton of hero's with cold airs. Any reason why other than not wanting a 3 inch hole through your fender? any cons or pros comparing them to each other? Would it be better to run a snorkel that doesn't go all the way to my roof rather just slightly above the hood out the fender? Any help appreciated.

I thought I wanted a snorkel till I googled the price.
So googled some more and found this link.

I like this better, it should also give a ram air effect at speed. One of the highest places of air pressure it at the base of the windshield.

well technically a snorkel is a cold air intake. all a CAI does is shield the intake from taking in hot engine bay air so if you install a snorkel youre getting a snorkel plus taking in cold outside air. win/win if you dont mind the hole in your fender.
