And no one has the same taste in what looks good to you as you.

Before you paint it i would decide what you want to do with it. Mine is the same color but the clear coat is pealing off the hood and the roof is pretty bad too. I don't think i am going to paint it for a while because i know as soon as I paint it I am going to go ride some trails and a branch is going to add a nice pinstripe to my new paint.

i like the sound of the gunmetal idea.. that'd be cool.
personally i like the silver kuz i can get it somewhat dirrty and it still looks clean. Also, where the P.O. let a hole rust through on the right rear quarter.. i was able to slap a strip of duct tape on to cover it up before i got around to patchin it
but its ur jeep and ur call.
good luck

Black.. spray paint black... cause you know you want it black..
why black you say? cause you can scrape it, bang it and chip it and it wont look like crap when the green shows through..
think about it.. you have a red car.. you dont paint it black.. cause when you chip it.. you show red..
so.. Dark colors with dark colors.. bright colors with bright colors.
Grey chips.. you see green.. black chips.you see dark green..
look at my avitar.. mines a green jeep but it looks black..right?
see.. black it is!

I want to shoot my 91 in silver when I finish with the drivetrain mods. I don't think that will show as many trail scratches. Plus I like the look of a silver XJ on big tires with black rims.
