Comanche airbox
So i went to the junkyard today and i needed a new airbox due to me cutting my other one. anyways the XJ's there were picked over so i found an MJ. Which was really sad cause it was a short bed but pretty beat up. anyways i took the airbox out of it cause from what i could tell it was sorta the same and would work for my application. (Im doing what deadserious did on his with the TJ intake. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/showth...ghlight=airbox) But there were vacumme lines running all over it and this door typoe thing on intake port. Im just curious on what this is used for. Anyone know?

During cold weather warm air is drawn from the "stove" on the exhaust manifold and routed through there. Under full throttle, and after warm-up, the door opens depending upon ambient temp. and engine temp..If I remember correctly.
