Comanche springs for xj lift
so i've been told comanche rear leafs are spring under axle and when used on the xj lifts you to about six inches but you have to use a longer shackle or bolt two stock shackles together .... has anyone heard of or attempted this??

I'd stay away from the double shackle. If done right they give you a good amount of droop but the key is done right with the right springs. They can turn back and leave on side sitting higher (about 3-4" depending on shackles) than the other side and bend your springs. Teraflex sells a version called the Revolver and I have seen them even bend backwards and they are designed not to.

MJ springs are longer due to wheelbase differece...won't you need spring pad brackets to help locate it on the axle and also not cause you to have varying pinion angles? Just some thoughts. Might be misunderstanding your plans...Keeping a spring under or going with the SOA ?

Mj springs are 5" longer in the front side and IIRC 7 on the back side. They make a decent bastard pack helper spring once ylou cut the eyes off. A s-10 is a better option cause there are newer ones out there.. remember even the newest MJ you can find is 18 yr old

Was kind of wondering about this on the opposite end... as far as using XJ lift springs w/ a CH 8.25 from an XJ on a MJ... well darn it... oh well... But I guess since the MJ's springs are so much longer that won't work either...
