I wonder if there was debris in the system that wash pushed out by pumping.

Her car is clean unlike the Jeep, lol. As soon as I stuck the hose in clean fluid, one brake pedal push got all the air out and clean fluid flowing. I'll try again when it's time to bleed the Jeep but I'm not hopeful at this point.

a start would be hook it up to your compressor and put a vacuum gauge on the connector that goes on the bleed screw.if there isn't a bunch of vacuum that tells you something

I took it back and got a refund. I'm going to go the vacuum pump (hand) route. That way I don't need to mess with my compressor and air lines.
