Isn't the non existant t stat sexy? Looks like someone thought running the motor wit out a t stat would be cool. (No pun intended)
Heat works great now. If I could just get all the orangish gunk outta the motor!

That looks tasty! It may take a couple flushes to get the orange crud out, but it would appear as if you have the majority out of it. How's it runnin and heating now?

or a run down on the materials needed to accomplish this task.

*facepalm* sorry man I totally forgot to take a pic of it when I had it cleaned up.

An its running an heating great now. I had figured this motor was just a coldblooded beast but now have good heat.

I'm gonna run a few days to try an get the rest of the nasty orange junk out then put my good anti freeze in it.

Anyone know how to get all the gunk outta the catch reservoir thing. Short of putting it in the dishwasher I tried everything. Garden hose, high pressure air, hot water, bleach, hot water bleach mix, an I've still got gunk that I know is gonna find its way back into the cooling system.

Take it off plug the holes, and pour in a bottle of clr, let it sit for an hour. then rinse it out. And the answer is yes. I use CLR for everything. Cleans up all kinds of crap. Good for soaking shock bolts in too. eats the rust. Spray bottle required.
