coolant system upgrade
ok so I'm going to be doing a coolant system upgrade on my 89 cherokee remix engine. i was planing on adding a 3 row radiator with 3 ten inch fans and a 180 t-stat. does that sound like a good plan? i know the remix is a sealed coolant system anything else i should do to help out. the water pump looks new so ill be leaving that alone. also new upper and lower hoses.

If everything in your cooling system is in good shape and to stock specs, it will be just fine.
Too many e-fans or too thick a radiator will hamper airflow. Low airflow across the fins mean the heat cannot be gotten rid of adequately.
180* thermostat is too low. Use the factory 195*, preferably MOPAR.
Keep the closed cooling system. It works fine. You do not use an auxiliary overflow tank, because in a closed system there can't be one. The plastic bottle is the pressure vessel.

I'm taking the ac system out compleatly. Can I just get another factory electric aux fan and run two of them at the same time? If 180 is to low keep 195? At what temp should I have the fans kick on both together or two seperate temps? Everything I read says get rid of the closed coolant system

Keep the closed system.
Keep the factory mechanical fan as well as the factory electric fan.
Keep the 195* thermostat.
After extensive testing, the factory gave your Jeep the proper combination of cooling components.
My '87 Renix does just fine. Temps in my area can reach 114* in the summer and below 0* in the winter. No problems. Why do you think yours needs an "upgrade"? What are you going to do about having no A/C pulley for the belt to go around?

I feel like I'm talking to a wall here.
You don't need any of that stuff you are fantasizing about. But it seems like no matter what we say, you are h*ll bent on doing it.
Go for it. You'll find out.

I went the easy route:
Kept the OEM Radiator
Added an inline filler neck (set it a little up and between the AC Compressor and the Head) and replaced the pressure bottle with a normal overflow tank from a different vehicle.
Got a efan from JEGS, I think it was a 12 inch, just replaced the mechanical with this one and have it running with the signal from the stock AC e-fan.
Result: No more overheating for my jeep, it runs fine around 190 and e-fans turn on when the temp is reaching around 210 (at traffic jams or very slow driving only)
