The last thing u want to do is loose CFM air flow. The OE factory efan has been tested at 2300 CFM and the belt driven fan will move way more air than the OE efan at just above idle speed. A properly functioning t-stat does one thing only....determines MINIMUM coolant temp. The rest of the cooling system, its condition and driving conditions determine maximum coolant temp. Either system requires a bottle.

I'm suspicious allot of trouble people have had with the closed system (bottle blowing), is because they filled it up with coolant. Seems natural after all. I think leaving it 1/2 full of air helps, since air can compress under pressure and coolant won't. My system is stock at 277K, I even got the AC goen for that dog there!

Get your measuring tape out and do a little hands on research for yourself.

If you eliminate the factory mechanical fan, that is a downgrade on cooling capacity. Why would you want to do that?

It's a Jeep, not a submarine.

Just remember when that efan(s) kicks in, thus placing a big load on the alternator, the motor won't exactly be freed up because it has to turn a tight (loaded) altenator.
