Alright guys, To The Top.
Got the HD 3row Rad, plan to install that, but before doing so, I did my research. Im gonna just replace everything pump, hoses, tstat, reservior, etc.
Was looking at FlowKoolers pump p/n 1747, any input?
As for the T Stat, 180 or 195? and which manufacturer? I live in Charlotte area NC so average winters, nothing too extreme lows at worse case round the teens or 20s. And summers July gets high 90s with 70-90% humidity

Some will say u are doomed if u run a 180. I say, if you're going with that big rad and maybe a hi-flo pump, try the 180. If the heater's not warm enough, it takes 10 minutes to change the t-stat. I doubt it'll run 180 for another 3-4 months.

I think I am going to try out the 180. The Robertshaw 180 T-stat (p/n 370-180) on flowkoolers sight sound like a solid choice?
What about the Flowkooler pump, any nay-sayers or people who have personal experience?

Alright so today I began with flushing my system, jacked a couple empty 5 gal jugs from work. And man, I tell you what. I think this crap will never end. I just finished with my 4th refill and operating temp run. Here are some pics of what I am dealing with:
And on top of that my heater doesnt work?! Granted Im a tad ADD and only skimmed, thats how I knew to check the heat, but I didnt get the part as to why it does work?!?! Any input anyone?

Nasty.......whatever u do, don't put that new rad in until the system is clean. Remove the t-stat cover and water pump, stick a garden hose in the t-stat hole and flush, flush, flush. Stick the garden hose in one of the heater hoses and flush, flush, flush. Clean the reservoir bottle. Button it all up and keep close tabs on coolant color. New coolant will probably turn rusty again pretty quick. Drain, flush, refill again at first sign of turning rusty. Raise the hood at least weekly.....keep an eye on things.....coolant doesn't turn rusty overnight.

Preciate it man. I bought the XJ this past winter for fun and snowboarding trips, etc. And being at as low of miles that it was and being owned by a marine I had assumed something like this wouldnt be an issue.
Is my T-stat the reason why heater wont work? When I get up to op temp this is what its showing:
