I got a Government Cherokee. Used in the Desert before I got it. So basic. Aftermarket radio, all plastic (including seats). The floors are a hard plastic liner instead of carpet making offroading the best thing ever in mud because you can just wipe it out. except it DOES have power windows and locks...

I got the jeep that way, but it looks like it could have easily been a custom job (not exactly exact LOL), but I LOVE it. It's not plushy carpet like a luxury SUV and there's a little more road noise, but it's darn practical even in everyday...no slapping of shoes to take off the crap before getting in. just slosh away!

My 95' is pretty darn smooth at 85 even with the 3" lift. I haven't pushed it lifted, but back when it was stock I had the needle pointing a bit past straight down one time. I was being real ballsy and I had no idea how fast I was going (shoulda brought the GPS along) and it really stopped feeling so stable after what I thought to be 95-100mph. I just really felt like the truck wans't enjoying my brazen lawlessness very much so I slowed her down. haven't done anything like that since either, lol.

Where In the OBX did you visit?
That's where I live... Kill Devil Hills.
Around here we have LOTS of different kinds of police vehicles. Mostly standard type cop cars but some trucks/suv's and some of them drive the new Dodge Chargers.
