well i fixed this problem that was obnoxious as well as caused me to fail smog.

 

is this a common problem? my country has 164k miles and is a 95

 

the truck is already back together and runs great, no exhaust leak now.

 

happens all the time... itll do it again too... look on ebay for one with spring looking things on the 2 far cyclinders... got one for my old ZJ for only $75 shipped and it was stainless... got one on my xj also... just not stainless... cant see it anyway...

 

new update: ok i took it to the smog station and it passed .

 

hope you replaced the motor mounts while you were there.....cause that was prob the cause of it.

 

i guess i could see where motor mounts would cause this but in the places they generally have cracks is more from expansion and contaction of the long skinney motor... Thats why they started making these...
