Crank Pos Sensor / reference volts???
98 XJ Sport: Finally got her started... it was the fuel pump.... So far I have installed a new fuel pump, cleaned out the fuel tank and lines, installed new fuel injectors, cleaned the throttle body, new map sensor, new IAC sensor, (TPS was good to go). So I did a volt meter test on the Crank Position Sensor.. it is getting 5+ volts from the Orange wire, but the gray wire (reference) is only showing like .3 volts. the jeep is running pretty bad like misfireing and just running rough.
Any help would be great...
Thanks,
Andy

The CPS signal is actually a rapid series of 5.0 VDC pulses, such that trying to measure them with a simple DVM would give a value of ~2.0 - 3.0 VDC. You might try rotating the engine by hand, ignition on, very slowly, to see if you can generate some 5.0 VDC signals. Proper testing is more involved see jeepmanthing4x4 thread.
