Crank position sensor?
#16
I used two extensions and a swivel, and from underneath, I'm lifted so I didn't need to jack it up. I can't tell you as far as positioning until you see the bolts because I ended up laying on my back with my feet towards the front and by the time I was finished I was laying on my side with my feet towards the back of the truck....
If you have a smaller frame like me, start the bottom one first. I did that then placed the bolt into the cps on the top part, slid it over the threads and started it too, with a little bit of difficulty because i had problems with the extensions and swivel.
Dielectric grease and contact cleaner for the harness side of the plug when you've got it in would help....

I have the same '93 sport and did this same as last post. The advise of not dropping the bolts or cover into the bellhousing is very important! This was easy to do with 'wobble' extensions and nimble fingers and I was able to remove and replace with a 10in and 3in wobble together and a little easier to control than with a swivel. and x2 on the buddy with a flashlight, I did myself with a trouble light but was a PITA. ~good luck

I don't know what you mean about dropping the bolts into the bell housing, I'll have to take a closer look before I attempt this. And what is a wobble extension?

The CPS sits in a hole through the bellhousing, if you drop a bolt you'll be pulling the trans to get it back.

Ok I kinda see what you mean now. But wouldn't the sensor have to be out in order for a bolt to fall in that hole? Or can it fall in regardless? Man this thing looks like a pain.

So what's the real deal with a bolt falling in the bell housing? Because now I'm thinking about just having it done at a shop.. I don't want to risk having to pull out the tranny over 1 stupid bolt.
