Default Creaking or croaking noise when braking

So this noise is progressively getting worse and idk whats causing it. When i press my brakes they creak basically and sometimes when i stop fully theres a clunk right after. Are these my brake pad retainer clips or something more serious? Ill get a video later its hard to hear so i gotta find a safe spot to do it when it isnt raining heavily

Possibly a loose/missing caliper bolt?..

I'd pull the front tires off asap and get a good look at everything. It may be obvious once you can get a proper look at it.

I agree with PatHenry. Any brake noises or symptoms require a complete brake inspection. There are a number of possibilities....

Take the wheels off and make sure any rubber boots are in place and intact. Could be dust holding things up. Also, see if the brake pads are cracked. Ive heard of that causing creaking on Fords, but cant remember what model or year. I remember hearing about a similar issue on GMs, with the late 90s Grand Am and Malibu, at low speeds. It was from dried out and binding piston seals, or something to that affect. Lubing the seal with Kluber Fluid, from GM as per a TSB, was the fix. Dont know whats causing yours to creak, just throwing that out there.
