Default Cruise Control wont set.

My cruise wont work. I turned it on and the light on the dash came on but it wont set and hold. Any ideas???

possibly a vac line is leaking IMO

either there isnt a vacume or the clip off the throttle body broke. Check the cruise control cable comming off of the throttle body and make sure its still good and tight. i belive its the third one. It should end up on the left hand side if your looking at the engine bay with a wierd plastic cone looking thing...

I ve tried it at all speeds. Ill check the cables and vacuum today tho.

Most likely a vacuum leak. Check your vacuum ball.

Well I'm happy to report I found the problem and it was so easy I wish I would have looked before I asked. I traced the vacuum lines down and found the the little clip on the inside of the fender that holds the hood prop had broke. This allowed the hood prop to fall down and vibrate against the hard part of the vacuum line that it broke it. I simply went to my local federated auto parts store and got about a 2" piece of vacuum hose a size bigger that would slide over the two broken ends and fixed the problem. One of those simple things you procrastinate on looking at that could be fixed in a matter of seconds. Thanx for all the input tho.
