I own a 1996 Jeep XJ cherokee, Base model with power windows and power locks. I’m trying to make my own custom door chime as my Cherokee has the annoying door buzzer that every XJ owner hates. I pulled the buzzer today and there are 5 terminals coming from the buzzer it’s self that go into the slots to the left side of the fuse panel. Again, I’m trying to find what each of the terminals do, such as which ones are for when the key is in the ignition, the lights are left on, etc. I would appreciate ANY information as I can’t find anything online. Thanks!

 

I'll try to get some more info from this guy. You are not the first person to ask for such a thing.

 

These are from the 95 FSM. The best thing to do would be to probe your wiring and check that the pins do what these diagrams say to be sure.




I put the chimer from an old Toyota Emina in mine that only chimes to say ignition off, lights on.
