Hey guys I have a question so 2 or 3 months ago my 94xj with a 96 swap would jerk and cut off for a split second everything would stay on but the rpms would drop for a quick second and it would cut back on by it's self. The first time it did that it did twice in a month and just thought it was bad gas( it's push start don't know if this would have anything to do with it ) but now it's doing it twice on a daily. Sometimes I can start it back up after a few seconds and sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes but usually after the second or third time I go to crank it the battery will drain so thats when I let it sit for about 20 minutes and it'll start up. I thought it was fuel related so I changed the fuel filter and fuel pump and it's still doing it so I was told it could also be the coil and I swapped it out from my old motor and I can't figure. It is my daily so any help would help out thank you.

You will find a LOT of info on your issue within this forum. It can be a lot of things, but the ol' CPS is of course, as always, high on the list.

If you do a few searches, or even go down the thread list to the most recent threads, you will come across things that will sound familiar to your issue.

Once again, there can be several causes but start with the simple stuff first and read up. You'll be throwing a lot of parts at it, if you go with people's suggestions, but a bit of diagnostics first to narrow things down, will pay off in the end.
