Cylanders still going after engine shut off
Hi guys, this is my first post so have mercy on me if its in the wrong place. I have a 97 XJ and every now and again when I shut the engine off, it will continue to run slightly...It's more like a put which sounds like a couple of cylanders are still in motion. It will keep going unless I start it up again. After restarting it and turning it off, it stops.
I read something about it might have to do with the crankshaft position sensor. The check engine light came on yesterday and I got a code saying O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 1. My first instinct says its not related to that. My jeep starts up everytime, I just keep running into this again from time to time. What do you think? Thanks
