But I think I'm going to give this a try I have a miss on 1 & 2 that I can get rid of and it only happens now and again randomly and you don't even feel it miss or studder or anything. :/

heh. Coke bottle and water, straight from the old school. (it works)
Isn't there a TSB that addresses this on the later model 4.0's? Something about exhaust valves sticking causing multiple cylinder misfires? Seems they don't rotate when the engine is operated at mostly low RPM.
Edit: Found it:

8 ounces of water divided by 4.0 liters which is roughly 4 quarts. Think about it.

progress update
today I replaced the #6 injector with a used spare, totally cleaned the throttle body by taking all the sensors off and scrubbing it down. Replaced the TPS and ran 8 ounces of wather through the top of the throttle body while running. I also found where my cold air intake filter had rubbed through one of the wiring harnesses exposing some copper at the PCM. I repaired that and cut a slit in a piece of PVC pipe and fitted it over the harness to prevent future contact. By the way the metal frame around the K&N element was making contact with the exposed copper inside the wire.
I lost the p0206 code but gained a p0301 code.
I plan on replacing the coil with a good used one and will replace the #1 injector with a spare.
The Jeep runs better than the day I got it and can't detect the miss at the #1 cylinder. No hesitation or irradic idling. I may also pull the Autolite plugs although new and replace with Champion Coppers. I also plan to renew the grounds at the coil.
It's getting there, you never really know how much you love your cherokee until it's sick.
