Depends mightily on your source/shop.

Any competent shop should be able to give you 140A or so without any trouble.

Outfits like Mean Green or Powerman should be able to hit 200-220A.

I think Rush Power Systems can push it all the way out to ~300A.

Anything past 80A should have upgraded wiring if you're going to use the full capacity often. Anything past 100A, you should consider the upgrade mandatory to make effective use of the full capacity.

Post #17 says it all. Get the upgraded wiring and then a 140 amp alternator if you still think you need it.

I've done the upgraded cables on 3 of my Jeeps. All had the 105 amp alternator. Only one has a higher draw than stock and it's my DD Comanche with 90/100 H4 headlight bulbs. I have no issues. The cables made a huge difference on their own.

Then cables it is! How do I go about ordering that kit? After that I'll run a set or two of lights and see if I need to upgrade to a higher amperage.

Don't call - I don't publish my phone number, I dislike telephones, and I keep weird hours...

Email me, you'll get a response well inside of 24 hours!

Will do! Thanks! I'll probably send an e-mail out sometime this weekend. Gotta see what my to-do list says for the jeep. I got a few things to get done before I get to upgrading once again. Although, the wire upgrade would come in handy for multiple reasons.
