Default dana 30 pinion nut torque

ive herd and read 160-220 ft lbs and so far i got 100 but the truck starts to move with the parking brake on. so how much more torque do i need total?

new crush sleeve new seal and new nut and torqed to 210 and the yoke still has movement in all directions?

Why did you replace the crusher sleeve? Did you set the preload on the new crusher sleeve?

i have a new yoke and was told that the crush sleeve is a 1 time use.
i have 1/8 movement all around and 1/32 in and out torqued to 210 ft lbs.

Sounds like you've gone about this the wrong way. Now you have no pre-load torque specs.

Pinion preload must be set WITHOUT a carrier in the housing, or at least pulled out enough so that the gears don't touch.

Yep. I was meaning the torque spec he'd get before disassembly.

That's it. On my CJ's I believe I did 40-60in/lbs with wheels off and calipers or drums off. The right way is as described above. Carrier out of the way. Then I think its 15-30?

...it also needs to be set as running torque. You need an inch lbs dial wrench.
