Default Dana 30 wheel hub bearing differences

I got a 2000 XJ 4.0 AW4 with a dana 35 rear and low pinion Dana 30 up front.
I just bought a set of 4.10 axles from a 1994 4cyl XJ (HP Dana 30 and C8.25).
I'm putting a locker in the front and would like to carry spare dana 30 axle shafts, ideally with the hub bearings still attached to make it an easy swap should I break a shaft.

Question is, will the axle shafts and more importantly the hub bearing from a 2000 XJ (LP Dana 30) fit the 1994 HP Dana 30 axle?
I've heard front hub bearings from different year Dana 30's differ slightly in size, is this true?

If you have a composite rotor on the 2000, the hubs are the same. If it is a cast rotor on the 2000, then they are different.

Are the shafts still interchangeable between pre and post 1999 Dana 30's?

As for the brakes I have never tried to see if low pinon or High pinon brakes/calibers interchange.. Give it a look and come back and let us know.
As for shafts, Im sure if they are 27 spline they should be the same. I could be wrong I have a bad cold today and my head is kinda fussy..

Calipers and pads are the same - rotors are different.

Ok, so if I take my shafts with hub bearings from my LP Dana 30 I should theoretically be able to to bolt it into the HP, just need to use LP 2000 XJ rotors?

Yes. The axle shafts are the same across all years 84-01, the calipers and pads are the same 94-01 - so just use the rotor that matches the hub. So for the HP hub, use the 00 Rotor, for the LP hub, use the 94 Rotor.

pat is right. you just have to match the hub with the rotor. everything else is the same.

Just did this swap myself and can confirm I just used the rotors calipers, hubs etc off the LP, used axle shafts from HP worked great. Even swapped my knuckles from LP>HP. If I did it again I would have just bought new wheel bearing hubs just for peace of mind. Easy enough to swap them out tho.

Thanks folks, I need to replace rotors and pads anyway, so the axle swap will provide the perfect opportunity.
