Default Dana 35 Pinion depth shims

Hello, My 2000 Cherokee with 3.55 Dana 35 had bearing problems I decided to replace all the bearings.
I ordered a Motive Gear R35JRPK kit with bearing, seal and the shims in order to be sure I will have every thing for the pinion.
Unfortunately there was a problem in the packaging, the Bearings were not included.
So I managed to find a bearing kit at Rockauto which was available: Yukon SK 31402 / USA Standard Gear 55014, which should have been the correct ones by crosschecking the references and application on Internet.
But they are too big: 2,37" ID / 2,82" OD. Maybe I thought they go behind the race instead of between the bearing and the pinion, but they are even too big OD to go behind the race...

Do you know what reference I should use for a Dana35? What did you use when replacing the pinion?

Thanks in advance
Guillaume

My mistake, the shims were not aligned and appeared with larger OD than the race.
when I took only one, it is the same OD as the race. It is the correct kit, but for installation behond the race.

Is there a risk to damage the race when I remove it to stack the shims? How to remove it with the less risk? I use a hammer and a screwdriver from behind. (I cannot use a conical bearing tool to press on the whole circumference as the bearing from the front has a smaller diameter.

I wouldn't even bother with messing with a Dana 35, return the kit and find a Chrysler 8.25 to swap in.
