Taking mine back today. The part number is rubbed off so hopefully they can tell. If not then in the scrap pile they go. Won't trust them not knowing for sure.

I had the bad 6 tons, but my 3 tons were good. This is why I always keep an extra set of stands plus the floor jack under the axle as well.

Returned my brand new sealed in the box 6 tons today.
Could not get a cash refund though. Not surprising. Since they were purchased so long ago.
I did talk to the manager. He told me the state required it to be a gift card.
I think he was pissing on my leg and telling me it was raining when he said that. LOL.
Did make out with about $11 then I actually paid for them though.

I just said, "I understand there's a safety recall on these." and pointed to the number. SHe looked at the number, said: "Yep. I'll get your refund." and called over a manager. I got a gift card, too, but she said it was because they are out of stock on them. I believe that.

Thinking won't be buying any big ticket items from Harbor Freight so it is going to take a bit
to spend the $85.
I did ask. The gift card does not expire.
