Death wobble to the 10th power 98xj
Ok,
MY last 98 AWD limited I loved so much before I rolled, only done this once in 15 years.

This 98 is all regular factory , no mods.
It seems all purfect..untill...

... over 60+ mph, most all half decent potholes or whatever, I get the shimmering death of a wobble. I grab wheel tight and brake and once I get under 60 it stops.

I had to drive an hour to appointment and It occurred 5x on this trip untill My dumbass decided finally not to go over 60mph

Other then my twilight zone window nightmare posted on another threat.
It's a nice jeep
When did the DW start? Have you had the Jeep worked on or any parts
changed since just before that time?
Just about anything associated with the front axle can be the cause. Take it
to whoever does your repairs and have them check the front end out.

If you are going to fix it yourself, then have someone saw the steering wheel back and forth and look at all the pivot points. Bushings tie rod ends etc. Anything not tight needs to be fixed.

Also jack the front end up off the ground to check for anything loose if you find nothing obvious on the ground. And dont just jiggle and pull a little here and there. Sometimes you really have to muscle things around to find a bad part.
