Default Death wobble Issue bigger than bushings

Alright ive got the wobble and it may be from a track bar too but i think that a bent control arm mount on the axle cant help my cause out at all. My question is the course of action to take. Im in no way proficient enough in welding to do this myself so....? Where should i go, an alignment shop or a body shop, im confused here, fab shop what?

Try to do a good inspection of all components to see what else may have problems. You can replace the control arm without too much trouble but if the mount itself is broken that's another story. My XJ had a crack in the frame behind the driver's side motor mount that caused death wobble. There was just a small little crack on the bottom of the frame sneaking out from behind the mount. Plated and welded the frame and it's been fine for awhile.

my arm is straight but the bracket is bent obviously, so the arm has eaten into the bushing at the mount, plus an oil leak isnt helping the cause, so the arm is almost metal to metal with the mount possibly causing my harmonic wobble at with contact to anything larger than an ant between 25-55mph.

Steering (horizontal) shock is bad.
About 10 years ago I talked to many mechanics and nobody knew the problem. Finally I went to a dealer and begged them to check it out. They even charged me only for half an hour. Mechanic already knew the problem. He removed one bolt, steering shock rod could be moved easily by hand. I paid about $30 for that shock from Autozone and installed it in 20 min.

Of course you still have to check tie rods, lug nuts and wheel bearings.

ya i had to change my steering stlzr also i was getting death wobbles at 55 mph after hitting a bump. some people been saying that a new steering stlzr only hides the problem, its not the fix. but i can go 70-75 all day hitting bumps i have not gotten death wobble. but your control arm bracket can cause that as well

Thanks man I can definitely tell im not supposed to have such a cute kink in my mount, im thinking maybe bend it back, pull the arm off, new bushing bend the mount back and weld a piece in to basically box the mount in? think that will help from a future flex of metal that has gotten soft due to the kink and then the bend back? Replace bushing check the arm for any warpage? while its down go ahead and check track bar and steering stabilizer and hopefully a fly fart wont send this thing into earthquake mode.

Thanks again for all the help guys

lol ya. thats the first thing i would check for is warpage. i think your death wobble problems are right there cause thats not normal. i would deff reinforce that though. i would weld that up for ya if you were near by. i had trouble getting that pic. im sitting on stock suspention, everything is way up in there. at least you had a place to start with death wobbles. i got myxj it came with the wobbles. i just started replaceing stuff starting with the cheapest parts. glad i could help!

oh and chect all you bolts under there. trac bar mount tie rod ends, all suspention bolts/nuts. cause with death wobble giving such a violent shake never know what it might of jared loose. cause i know a loose trac bar mount would be the cause of that as well.

EEEWWWW this hurts my soul!!!! Anyways heading out of town for the next few days so when i get back i'm tackling this situation, this is definitely the source of my wobble it has well over 1/2" of play at that bushing, Thanks again.
