If you plan on doing the gear change yourself then do a tech article about it with pics. I have never done a set of gears. I have helped in small parts of it but have never seen a set done from start to finish. I know that it requires special tools and patience with shims and bearing tightness' but thats the extent of my knowledge.
Let us all learn from your gear change.

lol I just finished my first setup.

Like Kyle said as long as you still have the D35 axle or the Chryco 8.25 then the 4.56 will be your limit.

I am running 4.5 now on 35s and it does just fine! 4.88 are desirable but not worth the change since there's not a huge difference between 4.56 and 4.88.

I forget about the fact that I live at 6800' of elevation. You guys at or near sea level MUST have quite a bit more power than I do up here! I know that my DD is a hot rod when I drive it to OK to visit friends and family. It may be ok w/ 4.56s at a lower elevation, due to the fact that you guys have a lot more oxygen down there,....wait.... maybe that's why I don't remeber my current elevation, oxygen deprivation!!!LOL.... Hope whatever you choose works out for you!!

I personally will not be doing the gears, I'll be there to give a helping hand and watch but thats about it

runnin the 8.8 in the rear, i think i'll go ahead and try 4.56s.

Why did you decide against 4.88?

We got into a big discussion about this once at a club meeting. 4.88's are the way to go if you can. They work in a Dana 30 but you will not get the ideal contact between the ring gear and the pinion. The ring gear is so small in a Dana 30 that when you start taking teeth off it to achieve a lower ratio you don't leave a whole lot for the pinion to engage. They will work and many people will never have a problem until you really starting pushing it, larger tires, more HP.
