Possibly. I did roughly match the new oil amount to the old. Didn't have a more precise method than by eye, so very possible.

Again, I was without most of my tools or even a decent space to work other than a parking lot before I was kicked out of my housing.
Still, good lessons to be learned thanks to all you helpful folks. I appreciate everyone's input.

Like the previous poster mentioned, low pressure wouldn't be likely to cause a burst line.
Yes, I know techs that have made that mistake. To your original question, is your compressor toast, I don't think so. If it still turns freely, then it is probably OK. Charge it back up the right way and stay cool

Alrighty then. Ill replace the drier, oil, and pressure sensor and recarge the system.

Thank you everyone for the help. I will post here if anything goes wrong, otherwise assume it went well.
