Did this webbing material fly out of the vents ?
I see this all over the inside of the XJ. No idea where it comes from. Anyone ever see this?

Looks like this is common.
There is a thin piece of foam that is attached to the evaporator with clips. Its there to kinda trap/ dissipate water droplets to help keep them from flying through or out of the ac vents.

It's called reticulated foam, and as mentioned above it's used on the downstream side of the evaporator core to keep the condensate from blowing off and not draining away on high fan settings. I ordered some online when I replaced my heater core.
