Default Differences between 1995 and 1998 xj

Ok i'm sure this topic has been beat to death but i couldn't find a thread with just the functional differences between the two years.

I have a 1998 but i have the oppurtunity to pick up a 1995 for dirt cheap as a parts vehicle. I know the body work is different and that the 95 is obd1 and 98 is obd 2 but other than that all the hard parts should be interchangeable correct?

Thanks in advanced!

It depends you need to check the differentials and transfer case, make sure those are the same the AW4 is the same . The wiring will be different as well as the ECU as well as some of the engine parts.

You already aware of the body changes, but if it's really cheap use what you can and sell what you can't use.

Thats along the lines of what i'm thinking. It should be a hp dana 30 up front. I'm not to concerned about the rear axle as i might do a 8.8 swap in the future any way. Mostly i'm going after the front axle because my spring buckets are rusted out and it be nice to rebuild one to swap in when i do my lift in the spring. And also i'd like to grab another tcase to rebuild. Everything else would be up forsale.
