But it shows how dumb I am. My jeep is a 96 with a 4 litre motor.. and some wiring issues.. Thanks for reading

I would agree that a JY is your best bet. Probably the cheapest option as well. Just make sure to cut the wires back as far as possible. Better to have too munch wire than not enough.

Hey, the 94 wiring harness might fit your 96.. Check the 94-96 parts catalog. If it does I seem to remember a guy on here parting out a 94 that you could ask....

If you are not sure which injector is which...
EV1 is Jetronic. EV6 is USCAR.

soo... I ordered the 12 hole injectors and in my supreme ignorance I ordered the adaptors that I thought I needed; figured I had a fifty-fifty shot.. rolled the dice..and crapped out.. so instead of waiting around for the correct adaptors I grabbed a pair of dykes and a buddy, and after a bit of research (albeit a bit late) we headed for the junkyard to seek out a post 2006 FoMoCo donor. Clipped off 6 and a couple extras and went back to the ranch and started clipping and soldering... got some sexy 12 holers in... started her up and went driving. She ran rough for a bit at all the rpms and gears, then started smoothing out. My cel light was coming on indicating misfires in every cylinder and then that started to mellow out some. This went on for a couple days and then things got worser...I got a new code on cylinder 3 indicating the plug was not in good shape; it would not click into its place. I went to put the old injectors back on... but I had these new ev6ers ...But... the adaptors I had were just the thing I needed!! Put the old injectors in and the adaptors and she started right up.. I smelled gasoline .. peeked under the Jeep and its raining gasoline under the Jeep. Yikes!!! Shut her down.. replaces the o rings and cleaned the ports in the intake manifold and put it all back together and more ports were leaking .. Now Im just a guy doing damage at this point. I have learned that you just gotta get the fuel pump to turn on to check for leaks so I am not running the motor like that anymore.. And I had to split town for a while.. sooo my Jeep sits needing some things. Soo you bit, can you swallow all that? Lay it on me.. I can handle it..

I'm not exactly following/reading all, but I'm pretty sure EV-1 connectors are stock and the Bosch 4 hole ending in 703 have them as well. (and the slots for the clip nut) Also the flow and resistance of the 703's match 91 and on......

Somebody help me out here - there is a member here who sells rebuilt injectors. He has lots of happy customer and he knows his stuff, but even though I'm one of his happy customers, I can't remember who it is! I am pretty sure he can advise you where to go from here.
And, as has been mentioned, if the 94 harness will fit, there is a guy here on the forum (cough, cough) who is parting out a 94. He plans to pull the engine from his wrecked 97 to put into his new 98 with a blown engine, so he could part with a harness from his 97, as well. (cough, cough).

I have not used a pm option yet here . but if this gentleman could pm me ... I would like to know if the part of the harness that has the injector plugs itself plugs into the main harness... is this a reality by any chance?? And of so I believe that I would be happy with the 97 option as my 96 seems to have more in common with the latter type of Jeep... I bought a sensor for a 96 and it was wrong.. the 97 option actually fit... soo.. how much for the stuff??
