I see, didn't know you had trouble viewing all the previous replies... Was just curious because that was the second time in the last few days you came up behind me 2 minutes later and said the exact same thing I had just said and mine was the very most recent post.

Compression test will solve the mystery.

 

I would crank it over a couple times with oil in the cylinders and no spark plug in the motor . that would help loosen the rings . when you get ready to try to start the engine crank it over with no spark plugs in it to blow out most of the oil when it looks like it stopped blowing out oil you can put the spark plugs back in and see if it will start if it does start it will smoke a lot until all the oil that got in the exhaust burns out .

Hey guys. I had a mechanic take a look at it earlier in the week. He found metal chunks in a few of the cylinders - probably from a past collision. Whatever the issue is with the blow by, I'd need a full engine rebuild or a replacement according to him, which I don't have the money or skills for. Too bad because everything else in the car is in good shape. Will be selling it.

I've seen used engines for sale for about $500 maybe you can go with that .
