ok,so now that we are all on the same page(sorry...working way to much lately) i havent actually proven that the pick up is bad. should i check the injectors with a noid light after the jeep goes into shut down? it runs for about 40 minutes then dies...wont start back up until it cools...changed the crankshaft position sensor changed the coil. i have fule pressure in the rail...i would rent a pressure checker but autozone wants $150 to rent the damn thing and i dont have that monsy to spend...even though i will get it back...i dont get for another week....need the jeep now. now back to the injectors...if the module in the dist. is going bad...and shuts down...then it doesnt send signal to the injectors right?....

You might want to start a new thread for your no-start issues to get the attention of some of the H.O. guys who may be able to answer your question in one sentence. I just know enough about both EFI systems that I'm going to a carb...%110 reliable and field servicable.

Motorcraft 2100's came out in '57 and where used up to something like '85 on I6's, V6's, and alot of V8's. They came in 8 different venturi sizes and can be jetted for whatever you need. They also use a 5 1/4" air cleaner base, and I think a later chev TBI snorkel will fit right on for running a remote air box or a deep water snorkel. Theres tons out there and if you know what your doing a dirty used one for $15 can be a true junkyard gem. The 2150 is the same as a 2100 except it has a variable venturi to adjust for changes in barometric pressure(attitude changes)
