Question Do 91-95 front seats fit on 96 cherokee?

Hi,
Having trouble finding the answer to this. I am wondering if the 91-95 cherokee seats will fit directly into the 96? Can i just take the seat or do I need the whole sliding bracket as well? Never changed a seat before but there is a really clean driver seat in a 93 I believe at my junkyard and would like to replace my worn out one. Your help is greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Lee

95-01's will bolt directly in. 84-94 use different mounts.

So even if I take out the slider part that mounts to the floor it won't help correct? It's all different? Thank you for your fast response.

The floor design changed in 95. The mounts are completely different for 84-94's compared with 95-01's. I would recommend getting a set of ZJ front seats if you want more comfort. All you have to do is swap over your current slide rails and floor mounts (4 bolts per seat hold the entire mount/slide rail assembly to the seat frame) to the ZJ seats.

93-98 ZJ seats. The floor design in the XJ was changed in 95. Sorry for any confusion. Hopefully this will help.
84-94 XJ - first floor design
95-01 XJ - second floor design
93-98 ZJ - can have 95-01 XJ seat mounts and slide rails put on to fit into 95-01 XJ

ok and the 93-98 zj seats and rails are a direct fit? Just unbolt and bolt in? Sorry just don't want to pick em up and then find out there is fabricating involved. Thank you for the detailed responses helping immensely. Can finally change out my torn up driver seat. Finally found a center console lid that wasn't broken at the junkyard on a jeep with 271k go figure. 5$ lol. been hating that too forever.
Thanks again,
Lee
