Its never been dynoed and that may be a little exaggerated, but with the flowmaster 50 and other goodies its definately went above and far beyond the 190 and 200HP mark--after mods you can feels every change, for your DD that youre really familiar with.

Flowmaster 50-2.5" custom exhaust
2001 intake
LS1 injectors
throttle body bore and spacer
CAI soon
New plugs the other day-oil and coolant change, tranny soon
Ford 8 soon or D44===4:11 or 4:56s
brand new "racing" distributor and wires--the racing part is probably just for show tho

And brand new ATs that rip concrete off the ground

Default yes

I have used chips & programers on many different trucks, all chevy, and noticed some increase. take it out after you get use to it is where you notice what it did for you.

No, it isnt. Nitrous Oxide is heavier than Oxygen, and Oxygen is heavier than Nitrogen. "Air" is a mixture of mostly Nitrogen and Oxygen. I think air is something like 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and .9% Argon. Also, Nitrogen has no water content so there are all kinds of benefits to using it like no expansion (edited to add - expansion means tire pressure going up when the tire is heated by outside temps and extended high speed driving. If your tire is 33 PSI and you take a long trip on the highway, that can go up as high as 10 PSI, making your pressure 43, so if youre running 40 PSI and you take a long trip, your tire is going to be OVER inflated, making it dangerous). It also leaks through rubber far slower than "air" will, keeping your pressure at an exact PSI longer.

Benefit to running nitrogen in your tires is also so (if you dot have any leaks haha) that the pressure won't fluctuate with the temp outside. Much easier just to put air in your tires tho

The diff from gas and diesel engines. Gas engines come from the manuf. already tweaked. Making it harder for performance chips and programmers to make a big diff. unless you add more aftermarket parts like turbos ect. Diesel engines have a lot and I do mean a lot of room for improvement. They unlike gas engines are not tweaked therefore leaving room for improvement. The programmers for diesels therefore are able to do a butt load more for improvement.

So far ive done: New spark plugs, oil/filter change, cleaned air filter/ nitrous in tires (30in tires dont help) fuel cleaner-LS1 4 hole spray (from a camaro) injectors do not help!!--im getting an 01 intake soon, CAI intake, and throttle body spacer
Any more suggestions?
If your looking for more mpg’s and want to run larger tires look too gearing your axles for the desired tire size, you lose quite a bit of mpgs running factory gears with oversized tires in my experience. You will get your torque back and it will improve acceleration to feel more like it did with the stock sized tires. But re-gearing is costly.
. This video explains how to calculate to figure out the correct ratio for tire size. I was averaging 10-12 mpgs with my factory 3.55 gears and 31” tires, I went with 4.10 gears when I built my axles and now I average 15-18 in town (45 mph and under) and 18-21cruising (55-60 mph). I seldom have a need to exceed 60 where I live, no highways to get to work, live in a small town so I don’t have any info for how many mpgs I get above 60.
