I heard a clunk today and pulled the rear drum off..... OOPS.

front pads are still good.... replaced them all around at the same time... kinda odd...

thankfully the drum only has a small groove in it.... the rest looks good.

Oh well... sh*t happens...

off to NAPA

That's why I don't get bonded brake shoes , the only ones I like to run are the riveted so I don't have problem .you can try running that drum and see if it has any problems . just to save money .

OK, yeah that makes sense... I don't ever remember this happening before.... with rivet shoes...

there was still "some" meat left.... they musta got warm and de-bonded...

That bond shouldn't have come loose. Poor quality shoes, I guess.

You've got to watch riveted shoes closely. They will cut grooves in the drums sooner than you think. Been there, done it.

Where are you guys finding RIVETED brake shoes?

I stopped at NAPA today and they told me they only have bonded....

I didn't leave with anything cuz I wasn't sure if I had 9" OR 10" drums... (turns out they are 9" )

I really don't want to order online...... maybe I'm stuck with bonded again....
