I recently pulled this off a 1994 XJ and it looks what is on my 1996 XJ now.

Driver side 1994 XJ
If those numbers in the casting are related to part numbers, they are different.

I did some internet sleuthing on the caliper casting numbers (KH 120742) and these calipers may be for a Grand Cherokee or possibly an older Wangler which may bring some credit to my original theory.

The groove is part of the casting. Everyone always mistakes them for wear grooves.

Arrgggg!!!!

The new steering knuckle is not drilled out for ABS. My drama continues. I just wish Omix-ADA had a little more detail in their description. For the record, if you have ABS don't order the Omix-ADA18007.03 steering knuckle

or take this as your opportunity to remove the abs? Depending on future plans for the XJ (as in any update from the stock D35 rear) you will have to delete it anyway.

Omix-Ada is questionable. Some parts are correct. Some are not. Some arent even close. Its a gamble with them. Rockauto sells knuckles, which show the ABS mounting holes. I have no clue on the quality, tho.

And no, those grooves in the knuckle shouldnt be there. They need cleaned up and welded smooth.
