It could be tested that way, but the CCV system helps keep moisture from building up in the engine which is a good thing.

oil into the air filter is the typical issue and there are workaround however that is not my only symptom. I am also getting a bad leak from my oil dip stick tube where it seats with the engine block. I have tried replacing the tube and using sealant to no resolve.

Is it tapped in fully?
Use an open end wrench that fits snugly around it at the bottom and give the wrench a whack with a hammer.

Concentrate on the pressure in the crankcase first.

Replaced both front and rear CCV. Rear I installed the fixed orffice front is a wide open vent. Didn’t get a chance to go on a long drive but did about a 10min drive given it hell on the highway and didn’t get a single drop of oil. This deffinetly has helped won’t know for sure until I can run it a as much as possible this week. I’ll check back with the week of results.

Sure sounds better than a $150 motor swap, lol

Yeah about $8 total for new hoses, o-rings and valves on Amazon. I’m still going to get the $150 motor and talk him down a bit and rebuild it to have some fun side project.

Just reporting back in that having the correct CCV/PCV vents on the valve cover is important. Having two fixed orffice vents causes significant amount of oil leaks from everywhere. Once corrected all oil leaks have stopped. Thanks for the help guys
