Does This Have to be Replaced?
Im in the middle of a rear main/oil pan gasket job and this was on the outside of oil pan with the two rear bolts holding it up...as you can see i tore it apart on the removal of the pan...do i have to get a new one or can it go without one of these? this can't be holding oil in, can it?

Mine got bent up also and I have not had an issue with it not being there,it does add pressure for better sealing. If you can get another one I would replace it or just wait and see if it leaks.
