Hmm...
On the dome lights, the door switches are negative switches. If it's on all the time, its ground lead could be shorted to ground somewhere. I'd start looking behind the kick panels at the wiring there and see if anything is looks like it's shorted or rubbing on metal. I also suppose one of teh door switches itself could have failed and be shorting out.

Your door open door closed switch on one of the front doors might be malfunctioning. Its between the two door hinges.Try squirting them with some PB Blaster or WD40.

If one of the front door jamb switches were bad, the buzzer for the "key in the ignition" warning would be on as well (unless it's been deactivated).
Does it still buzz when you open the front doors with the key in the ignition?
Then it's probably not the jamb switches.
Your Jeep should be equipped with an over-ride switch on the rear cargo area light and that might be stuck, try unplugging the rear lamp assembly and see if the problem goes away.
It could also be the dome light switch built into the headlamp switch.
Unplug the headlamp switch and see what happens.

There's not much else I can tell you bud. You and the PO have both been messing with the wiring harness so the diagram is pretty much useless.
Either restore all the old wiring or throw a toggle switch in on the overhead light.
...or learn to live with it as it sits.
You really need somebody with some trouble shooting experience that can go hands-on on your vehicle if you want it fixed.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
