So just replaced my drivers door check assembly a few weeks ago, upon closing the door yesterday a loud pop later, a small silver bearing/bushing fell to my floor board. Now the door check isn't functioning again. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Do you have a picture of what you are talking about? The only things I can think of is the pin and the little white plastic washer that is in there. Neither sounds like what you are describing. Unless you are taking about something that is part of the door check itself.

I have noisy doors also. It seems every modern car I've ever owned eventually suffers from the popping door check, regardless of brand.
The older generation cars had thick 8th inch steel plate, with a huge spring running over notches that were cut in it. They usually outlasted the car.
So my door checks wore out differently. Instead of the brackets and pins wearing out. On mine the hole in the arm wore out. The pins are still tight in the bracket. When I open the door you can see the arm shoot forward a fraction of an inch and "pop" against the pin.
Here's what I did. It worked 80%, and wasn't worth the effort. The pin and all three holes need to be EXACT. So unless you can find the exact size roll pin, It's nearly impossible. I couldn't find a roll pin, and the bolt has one edge cut off to clear the bracket bolts.
It still clicks a little, But they won't hear it down the block in the middle of the night.
New checks are $25 for the door half and $5 for the jamb bracket and pin. It's not going to break the bank, so I'll probably do at least the driver side.

I tried the nut + bolt too - way too much play for it to work well.
Ended up just grabbing some from the JY that were in good shape but I think I need one of those brass bushings as well to take up the slop.
Drivers side is completely FUBAR and I have a replacement rear drivers side check that I need to swap the arm over at some point...
