Default Door Lock Actuator

88 Cherokee Pioneer. The power door locks arent working. I pulled the panel off the driver door to do some work and I found that the door lock actuator is only moving about a half inch. I lubricated everything well. When you manually push the lock/unlock indicator it will make the actuator go a full stroke. It seems to be common with all 4 doors. Anyone had this issue?

I'm having pretty much the same problem.

My front passenger door won't unlock w/ the keyless entry or on the doors, it won't even open if the doors are unlocked. You have to physically open the door from the inside, however when you go to shut the door it won't shut unless you manually hit the lock button or use the electronic door lock and switch it from unlock to lock then the passenger door will shut completely. Haven't had a chance to pull the trim off the door yet though. This is on a 98 limited.

First off, you 2 guys have pretty different lock systems.

There is a fix for the 88 that shum8 has:
