There are small plastic clips that have the bar running through them, you have to unclip the bar from those clips with a flathead. Do you have a FSM?...Tj

I have the same exact problem in my Jeep. If you manage to get it open please explain how you did it. I will be trying to do mine later today and I will let you know if I figure it out

you should be able to get the lock switch to move by hand but if you cant make sure to get the screws out of the panel also there are 2 big ones that hold the grab handle on and there is another in the little pocket on the door handle

So today I went to try to get my panel off. I unscrewed the 3 screws. Just like you when I tried to get the trim around the door handle off it got stuck around the power window switch and wouldn't come off. I decided to keep trying, but eventually I just broke the little plastic thing that holds it in there. The whole trim piece is held in by clips, but above the switch there is a longer plastic piece. So for fear of breaking anything else I put everything down and hoped you had made a revelation...

Alright, so last night I managed to get my door panel off without being able to open the door. Here's how I did it:
-Remove the little black trim piece around the door handle assembly. (It will get stuck above the power window switch. There is probably a way to get it off, I just ended up breaking it. It still looks fine if you put the trim back on)
-Unplug and remove the power window switch along with that trim piece.
-Remove the 3 screws holding the panel on. (2 on pull handle armrest thing, and 1 behind the door handle lever itself)
-Yank on the pull handle armrest thing until you hear one of the clips come out. (should be the one on the side where the seat back is)
-Go around the door panel removing all the clips. [I got them off by wedging a screwdriver in there and popping them out] (go down the left side, across the bottom, and then up the right side)
-Once all the clips are removed, pull the whole panel up and it should pop off.
-Finally, disconnect the door handle lever and the manual lock switch.
At this point, I looked in there and the locking mechanism itself is not moving. What can be done to it to make it start moving freely again?
