Door Problem
Let me try to explain....in my 2000 XJ passenger door, between the hinges there is a flat bar that attaches to the body with a pin and the other end is notched and slides up inside the door. The pin is gone and the bar was pushed up inside the door. I pulled it out and reconnected with a pin and now when I open the door, it pops a couple times. Is this broke or do I need to adjust this in some way. It was this way when I bought it.

I have the same issue yet started making the noise another way, I took my doors off for about 5 months and the pin/bar was compressed the whole time. Ever since i put them on (pain to get the thing to come out of the compressed position) it has made the noise. Im wondering if it needs to be greased or something. I might take it apart this weekend, Ill let you know if i discover the issue.

Spray some white lithium grease on it. When I got my Jeep it was the same way. Had to pull out the arm and put a pin in it. It popped for a while and then loosened up.
