door wont shut

Take out the latch assembly and work it good to clean it and lube it.
Then clean up the door and weld it back right. Make sure to do a clean weld and grind it all back flush where it looks like it did before the crack or you will have problems again. Then rust prevention with paint.
If the stryker is lined up right, the hing pins are fine, if its is off, youmight need new ones. One of the boys was off not too long ago (I think from some kidd hanging on it) and we just pulled it back up and it righted itself.
Best of luck.

Or.......Just get a good door from the JY and replace it, that is the route I would follow if it were mine. Check hinge pins also for excessive ware and replace.

But of course if looks are irrelivant....best route I think too if you can find it.

My driver's side door was a real naughty door. The other day it would not close. I pulled door as tight as I could and then used the slide open and close door lock inside the door. I did this about a dozen times and could hear it lock and unlock inside the door. It WAS cold outside when this happened. Then I closed door again and she closed okay. I DO have this door latch highly greased with heavy black grease. Would suggest you use some PB blaster to loosen up the door latch. I had my rear hatch latch stuck in the closed position and could not shut the hatch. My mechanic soaked it in WD-40 and then some PB blaster and got the latch to work. Every so often I give it a shot of PB and it works fine. I do the same thing for the driver's door latch and that keeps it operative. I don't have the inclination to replace door. It IS a trick to open from the outside though. Have to depress the square button and lift up at the same time. I have to do this every 6 out of 10 times though to get door open. Some idiot stripped the allen screws for the door alignment position.
