drive line vibrations

Default drive line vibrations

well i have been getting some drive line vibrations and so i got under the jeep and checked everything out, i gave the drive shaft a shake and sure enough it was loose where it goes into the transfer case. so i unbolted the drive shaft and look what i found:



this is held into the t case with one bolt, at first i thought the bold may have been loose but it looks like it is worn between the c clamp and the washer.

is this normal, whats this part called and where can i get another?

Looks like a hack and tap SYE and if it is it's supposed to be held on with one bolt to the t-case and 4 bolts to the drive shaft.

ya, after some research i got it figured out, looks like i'll just have to go to fastenal and get a thicker washer that fits snug. the few millimeters of play is allowing alot of flex and unnecessary spline wear.

i'm the third owner and the first owner lifted it so even with 70k on it there is alot of drive line wear.

still pretty sexy:
