Driver Seat Bolts - 4 alike? Replacements?
99 Jeep Cherokee Sport
Are the four bolts (studs?) that hold down the driver seat identical? Do they all screw down into threaded somethings (sockets?) in the floor? Or are there nuts under the floor holding the bolts in place? Thanks.

Then there is the nut in the rear by the console that screws on to the threaded stud coming up from the floor.
Bust a couple?

If it is like my 1996 XJ, and a newer Grand Cherokee I got a donor seat from, all FOUR studs are the same. M8(?) with 13mm nuts on each.
These hold the seat assembly to the floor mounts.

I thought he was asking about how the base was attached to floor.

Yeah I thought the same thing until I pulled the carpet
Just pull the carpet to be sure and toss all that insulation crap, hit the floor with a wire wheel and do some further investigation. If all good, repaint and put back the carpet if you desire. I just left it without a carpet for now.

looking from behind the seat, on the driver side, the right rear has a fixed stud in the floor. the other three I believe take a 13mmsocket. . The front two bolts go through a frame type affair. The other rear goes through the floor. If you replace this one make sure you put a plate under the vehicle to reinforce things. it's pretty much the same on the passenger side.
