Driver's Side Squeak/Creak
It's a head scratcher.
When I turn the wheel (running or off), there's a squeaking/creaking noise. Now the weird thing is, if we take a stethescope to it, it is loud and clear coming from inside the knuckle. It's right behind the heat shield, at the shaft, on top. It's not coming from the u-joint, although, we have to get a grease fitting that will fit it to grease it, in case the sound is travelling. The truck was jacked up, wheel, caliper and rotor off. It makes the noise when the the steering wheel is about 3/4 cut in each direction. The truck doesn't drive differently at all. Everything else is fine. No clicking, banging or clanging. I don't hear it while I'm driving at speed. Only when I'm going slow and turning the wheel. And like I said before, it does it with the truck off, too.
