This is my plan if I have to run new wire. After locating the 2 wires on the harness that need replaced, I will cut them, and tie a string to them. Then I will pull them out through the door. I will then untie the string from the old wires, retie it to the new ones and pull the string from the head unit compartment that way the new wire will take the same path as the old wire and I don't have to tear everything open. Then when I get the new wire to the harness I will just solder the new wires to where I cut the old wires at. Problem solved.

Even better thread! awesome guys....
my problem is right now, my lock cylinders are seized. that being paired with im missing a scraper piece of trim on the driver window, i refuse to install my infinity speakers until the door is watertight.
im just going to get the stockers working, and im betting there will be a monster difference in sound already.

My door speakers work good, but my passenger rear (roof) speaker doesn't work, so I'll have to look into what's wrong with it sometime (I got a lot of higher priorities before it though lol).

I had the same prob on the same side. The two crimp connections to the speaker itself were loose. I only had to pinch them tighter and reconnect them. Problem solved.

Did your new speakers come with covers? if they did you can cuz there bigger and stock juat make sure you dont cut the wires and find places to put the new screws in the new ones and you be fine.

Ok so for whoever asked, this is how you remove the door panel:
First remove all the screws. There are 5.
Then take a flat head screwdriver and slide it in between the door panel and the door. When you feel the screwdriver hit something, pry up on the panel and the rivet should pop out. Continue to do this around the whole door panel except for the top.
Once they are all removed, lift up on the door panel. When that comes free, unplug the 2 blue wire harnesses.
Then you will see 2 metal rods hooked to the panel. To remove these you must push the colored plastic piece away form the panel, towards the door. Once this is done, push down to free the top rod, and up to free the bottom rod.
And thats it. As they say, do the reverse to put it back on.
The second pic shows what the rivet looks like. And the bottom pic shows the 2 blue wire harnesses and the two metal rods.
Hope this helped.

I had the same problem when I bought mine. I took off the panel and there was about 6 inches of wire leaving the speaker and it stopped. I took out the radio and there was an empty spot for a wire, the brown wire that is supposed to go to the drivers door speaker was no where to be found. Crystler must have just left it out to follow suit with the other stupid things they do.

Sorry for being dumb, but I tried for 5 minutes to move those clips as described and no joy. I am really hesitant to use a tool as the triangle part on the handle is plastic and I don't want to break anything.
Any suggestions on how to massage these loose?
Thanks Y'all!
